Job Summary

The Account Executive works with the integrated account team to manage key aspects of the business relationship with multiple customers. Develops and implements annual business plans that support strategic business objectives and act as system-wide experts on strategy, business systems, and operating philosophy of all assigned customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and successfully sells the annual business plan for each customer in collaboration with the customer and Bottler. Ensures marketing activities and gap plans are developed to deliver volume, profit share growth, customer satisfaction, and to deliver on commitments made to stakeholders.
  • Develops and enhances effective collaboration and customer relationships. Functions as a company-wide customer expert to ensure that the Coca-Cola system achieves objectives, strategies, positioning, and needs. Manages communication with bottler system and customer field network to ensure constant application of strategies as outlined in the annual business plan.
  • Aligns system resources to implement marketing and operational programs according to plan, schedule, and budget. Leads emerging business including the development and execution of innovation brands in customer outlets.
  • Reviews business results with customers at pre-determined frequencies and agree on business enhancement initiatives. Conduct post promotional analysis measuring the success levels of promotions making any necessary changes to price and package plans.
  • Responsible for management of Customer Trade Marketing/Customer Marketing Agreement (CTM/CMA) budgets via partnership with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Builds and executes sales forecast and ensure proper execution of pricing and promotional programs.
  • Develop channel expertise/best practices to the Heartland team related to your portfolio.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of work experience required, or a minimum of five years progressive job experience including people, project, or account management with leadership and influencing skills required.
  • Prior experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization required.
  • Previous progressive responsibility with account management at a consumer goods organization.
  • Complex selling knowledge with proven ability to create and sell-in customer specific promotional programs and key initiatives.
  • Knowledge of bottler/fountain environment, systems, and business development planning experience.
  • Proven ability to manage needs and concerns of multiple stakeholders across various business systems.
  • Strong communication skills required (verbally, in writing, and presenting).
  • Proficient experience with computer applications such as SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Travel to customer locations is required.
